School of Communication Summit 2004
COMMUNICATION AND ETHICS
About the SOC Summit 2004
Never before in U.S. history has the topic of ethics been as pivotal in our national discourse as it is today. Daily we’re bombarded with reports of ethical crises in business, journalism, government and the personal lives of public figures. The School of Communication 2004 Summit, Feb. 18-20, brings together faculty, students, alumni, business leaders and members of the media to discuss issues surrounding communication and ethics.
The Summit features three days of intensive and spirited presentations about current communication ethics issues in society. Ann Compton of ABC News will highlight the Summit as the 2004 Hathorne Keynote speaker and Dr. Michael Hyde from Wake Forest University will provide the academic keynote.
New this year is a professional development day on Friday, Feb. 20, where business and communication professionals can explore and debate the latest issues related to communication and business ethics.
